Homelessness and Mental Health forum

Voices of Warringah is continuing its series of public forums on issues of considerable importance to the community of Warringah. Today we are proud to announce our ‘Homelessness and Mental Health’ forum, which will be held on 11 April 2019, 6:30pm at Manly Life Saving Club.
Join Digby Hughes, Justine Gordon and Daniel Peterson to discuss two issues that have a deleterious impact on far too many people within the Warringah community.

Digby Hughes is a senior policy officer with Homelessness NSW, a prominent not for profit organisation that coordinates homelessness services around the state. Mr. Hughes has extensive experience in providing care and housing for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Justene Gordon is the CEO of the Burdeken Association a community-based, not for profit organisation based in the Northern Sydney area that offers a range of support and accommodation services to young people aged between 12 and 24 years. The aim of the organisation is to prevent young people from becoming homeless by developing healthy relationships, stable places of accommodation and establishing goals to secure education or career pathways.

Daniel Peterson is the manager of homelessness services at Community Northern Beaches, one of the most important organisations in the Northern Beaches, providing for many of the most vulnerable people in our community

Candy Bingham is the Deputy Major of the Northern Beaches Council, a passionate politician and public speaker Candy will facilitate our forum.
